Another important lesson that everyone has to learn is to face criticism. It is not very likely that a person could be praised for every single thing they do, quite the opposite – they will be judged by the society. One of my old volleyball coaches told me and my co-players, ‘Even if you will win The Olympic Games, I will never think that you are the best player in the world.’ Somehow I have always remembered this quote and it actually makes a lot of sense. He taught us not to get too overconfident and said we could always improve. It is very important to continue working and learning after a small success to get even better in the future. Even if I don’t play volleyball professionally anymore, I still live by this quote and try not to give up easily.…
