What is the difference between gender equality policies in North, West and South European states? Are they different? And if yes – why? Answer to the raised question is “yes” and the main reason for differences is the historical development of feminist movements in theses countries, as well as social and cultural differences, which has impact on gender equality policies.

Feminist movements in France are complex but remain at academic level nowadays. They are no so active in civil society as they were few decades or century ago. Second problem with feminist movements is the lack of information and statistics. Third problem is inefficiency of the gender mainstreaming strategy because of gender equality as an “old” priority.…
