Going to the cinema is special to me and that is why I wish to advocate in favour of theatres. Whenever I visit my local movie theatre I cannot help but notice that only about one-third of the seats are taken. It is a consistent experience, as I attend the cinema rather frequently. One might say that moviegoing is still wounded by the Covid pandemic - data shows that Europe has yet to return to the same level of attendance as it had before 2020 (European Audiovisual Observatory). …
