Karl Marx and Emilie Durkheim View of Society
Karl Marx believed that the conflict in society was bad, which led to dysfunction of society. Durkheim, on the other hand, saw the conflict as a potential benefit. If the consequences of the conflict are clearly known to all, solidarity between all opponents of the conflict will be enhanced. Although the two theories are different in this respect, the difference between theoretical concepts of alienation and anomie is striking. However, the difference between these concepts is in operation. In the alienation of Marx, capitalists use a working class that causes dysfunction. In Durkheim's anomie, the working class dysfunction is not related to capitalist exploitation but to the complexity of society.
In conclusion, both Marx and Durkheim were extraordinary thinkers and theorists. They have both introduced ways in which we can view and analyze our society and its essential elements. Whether we focus on society's theory of conflict or integration, class stratification or solidarity, the use of work or norms and values, we have much to compare and contrast. Karl Marx and Emile Durkheim are familiar with the big thought, two beliefs to think and work around.

Once upon a time, the world's societies were nothing more than the ruling class and the category that ruled. In these feudal societies, classes were defined. The member of the ruling bourgeoisie class had little opportunity to go to the suppressed proletariat class or the proletariat class to the bourgeois class. In those times, there was a limited opportunity for self-improvement. Then there was a dramatic change. The concept of industrialization and capitalism was introduced for societies worldwide. There were societies which accepted it while others condemned it. Those who accepted it became modern societies that we know now. Capitalist and modern societies have complex structure. Different theorists have tried to explain the complexity of these societies, including Karl Marx and Emile Durkheim. In this essay, I’m going to compare and contrast the theories of Karl Marx and Emilie Durkheim and their view of society.
