The first is your Personality. You need to find out is there a good match between your personality and chosen career. You can do it analises yourself, for instance, how mutch you work within your preferences or what extent you will need at times to flex outside your preferred style.
The second thing is motivation. This is one of the most important factor for long term career satisfaction. Find a job that motivates you and you've found the right career. There you need to find out your interests and what gives you a "sense of achievement".
Third is - skills. Having the right skill is setting the key that opens the door to many careers.
