Main themes and lessons.
One of main themes is home. Like I said, all events take place in one household. Home has really important impact on early life. If the place isn’t happy to live in, it shows later on.
Love. Self-explanatory. The whole book is a novel, so it revolves all around love. Either in their relationships, as sisters or between them and their boyfriends.
As well as poverty. The most obvious is financial poverty, lack of money. But more serious than financial poverty is, however, is mental poverty. You can’t be doing great and live happy if you are financially stable, but your mind isn’t in happy place.
I learned a lot. First of all, continuing with theme of love – relationships between brothers and sisters are a lot important than any romantic relationship. Family always got your back in a way and people who come into your life is less important than who have been with you since birth.
Second of all, family poverty doesn’t indicate what your own life will expand. Everything is based on hard work if you want something to reach with your own hands, regardless of your wealth.
