At a glance as I look there is nothing I know and nothing I see Japanese. I thought: “What a subject I’ve got!” But that is only a fanciful conception we, Latvians, unconsciously adhere to. And so did I. But as I think and open my mind I look and see how blind I have been for all this time. Japanese things are all around us every single day but in a very weird way we somehow are not apprised of it.
I was just looking at my music collection and found a CD “A Voyage to Japan’. The track I am listening right now is called: “Waterfalls of wisdom”. It made me remember an old friend who is over the moon about Japanese things- especially he loves animated cartoons and haiku. …
