According to the statistics of the World Tourism Organisation tourism is the world’s biggest source of export income, important creator of work places, as well as valuable factor of regional and social development.
Tourism is an economical, environmental, and social force of global proportions. [2; 15]
Marketing is the analysis, planning, implementation, and control of carefully formulated programs designed to bring about voluntary exchanges of values with target markets for the purpose of achieving organizational objectives. [4]
Along with transportation, tourism industry includes such things as accommodations, food and beverage services, shops, entertainment, aesthetics and special events. For the best result achieving tourism company and also communities have to make out tourism marketing plan.
The aim of this report is to analyze the necessity of marketing in tourism.
To achieve the aim there are following tasks:
1)to describe tourism industry;
2)to explain concept of marketing;
3)to analyze why the marketing plan is needed and how it has to be prepared.
