German culture has been evolving throughout many year-hundreds, but no one can tell exactly when it was established. Some may say that Germany was established at that point when the Holy Roman Empire was established (year 962), or at year 1871 when the Kaiser of Prussia was crowned. But the Germany as we know it was established on year 1989 when the Berlinermauer (Wall in Berlin) was ripped off. Not knowing exactly when their nation was established, the urge to forget some details and periods of their lives, e.g. World War II, has shaped the mentality of Germans as unsecure and timid folk.
The main characteristics that should be kept in mind are that Germans love order and procedure (“Ordnung muss sein!”- in translation “Order has to be obeyed”). Germans detest disobedience, their lives are built on in long-term proven methods, and there is no way that someone could invent something better than something that is already tested throughout the years. In other words- Germans are living by traditions.
This also means that Germans are reluctant to anything that is new. If some new method or product is being introduced to Germans they have to know exactly why they have to approve it, they have to test it and fundamentally explore it.…
