Although, like Coco Chanel said “Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it’s not luxury” online , so it’s not only about appearance and showing off, it’s feeling comfortable in the character person is creating and keeping around himself. In real life, snobbism is affecting less people, than bandwagon movement is affecting, although I can relate it to myself. In this century of modern technologies most are choosing the mainstream brands, which are widely advertised. Personally, I prefer to have an item I consider more functional, than paying more or same price just for having a desirable logo on the back of the gadget. Snobbism can be tended about both – having the most expensive yacht or owning the coziest flat, although it’s not exclusive.
