One of the most important economic issue covered by the Baltic Times is fact that most of workers leaving the Baltic States and go to earn money to the West. It is big problem and reason for crisis. Latvia and Estonia have opened their doors to foreign workers from Bulgaria and Rumania. The issue of how to prevent workers from leaving, how to bring them back, and how to fill the positions left vacant is becoming more urgent. Important is that Baltics’ employment problems leaking their way into public schools. Due to the labor market being so tight, students are not completing their courses of study.
