I was in seminar on Japanese culture and management, in which three topics were covered:
1.Emphasis on the group
2.Human relationships
3.Japanese managers
1.The Japanese very feel like the group, I suppose that main reason being the fact that they are a nation living on the island. When you ask about someone’s job, they will say “I’m a Sony man” or “I’m working for Mitsubishi” not “I’m a director of…” or “I’m a specialist in … and I have… subordinates”. They are homogeneous population with a skill of compromising.…
