What can be simpler than to grasp the concept of the Sun nowadays? It's
the main reason for all physical worlds existence and the rst thing we `see`
every morning. Can you imagine your life without it? How would you feel if
one day you would wake up without a Sun? That's right - cold! People have
acknowledged to harvest this temporarily in nite resource a long time ago.
In 7th century BC in ancient Egypt the houses were built so that the solar
radiation could be collected during the day and used during the night. In
3rd century BC Archimedes used mirrors to reect direct Sun radiation and
to defend Syracuse from invasion by the Romans or in 1st century AD the so
called heliocaminos, solar baths with big mica windows oriented to the south,
started to be used. [1] It even has it's own book created a few thousand years ago called the Bible! Just replace the word Jesus with the Sun and you will see whom people were actually worshipping since that day. However, thanks to the investment of a few inquisitive individuals in this eld, we are capable of making the fossil fuels more and more obsolete every day.
