Enyedi & Lewis’ research is a good example of Wolinetz’s model; however, they argue that there has been no change in “qualitative” parameters, only in “quantitative” matters (argument on p. 247 – “EU integration has contributed to changes in the mechanics of party systems”). I would rather disagree with this argument, especially taking into account that this study was done two years after accession and some provided data about Baltic states is not objective. Moreover, in many cases they refer to themselves as a source of literature while lacking any references. I would encourage to look at more academically better done researches about CEE, for example, by Auers.
In the end, I would like to conclude that the model of party organization is still in development.
