A. Conan Doyle's work was reflected in the streets of London: in London, at 221B Baker Street, a permanent museum-apartment of Sherlock Holmes and a monument to Mr. Holmes himself were opened (it should be noted that the British government classified these sights as a historical monument). Thanks to J. Rowling's novels, the Wilcock village in Wiltshire and the city of Gloucester, where the galleries of Gloucester Cathedral are known to every Harry Potter fan, became famous.
Although the life of the British looks moderate and calm from the outside, there are still moments when these reserved individuals show their real emotions: festivals, sports competitions, family holidays and meetings with friends and colleagues in pubs. British life is quite interesting and multifaceted, with its own traditions and sometimes not understandable (for example cheese rolling), but definitely deserves everyone's attention.
