Neil Postman in “Amusing Ourselves to Death” explains and argues what great role in our lives is dedicated to television and its trivial content which is filled with its bias, entertainment and peek-a-boos. However, he highlights the importance of typographic media and book, as it is a source of literacy and intelligence. Throughout this book, oral conversation, typographic media and broadcast media have been compared, in order to emphasize their effect on native culture, public opinion and human intelligence.
