My opinion of the book:
Honestly speaking, I like this novel written by Lauren Kate, because it has an interesting, impressing and fastinating story.
However, I think that this book is very similar to “Twillight”, because of it’s plot. In this romantic fantasy novel there is a story about fallen angels, who met each other after milleniums. The main character Lucinda falls in love with a good and intelligent Daniel at their school. So, speaking about the plot I can’t say that it was something new for me, because it was quite predictable and familiar to other lovely book stories, such as “Twilight” and others.
At the same time Lauren Kate’s writing is not the same as it is in most romantic fantasy books. She avoids all unnecessarily flowery words that will color the truth of this novel. Furthermore, she doesn’t use long-winded narrative that makes this novel to be a gothic love story. But despite everything, she beautifully writes about angels and their wings. That is why it was easy to read and understand what happends in the book.
