The main objective of this work is to compare the tabloidisation of two daily newspapers – one from Latvia, another from Germany. Both newspapers are national, second largest in the country and satisfies diverse interests of the reader and are pretty far from the concept of tabloidisation.
Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
The first tracks of F.A.Z could be found in year 1616 but the first contemporary issue of Frankfurter Allgemene Zeitung (F.A.Z.) came out in 1 November in 1949 . The main task of this newspaper always has been to reflect the life in all the Germany and it’s still going on this way. The official sources of the F.A.Z. claims it’s an independent daily newspaper, which has an remakable feature – the newspaper is not edited by one but a coalition of five editors, who cooperates taking in the consideration the principle of good fellowship. It could be truth but inevitably reveals the factor of the private interests and narrow filter. The F.A.Z. consists of 40 pages and has an audience of 910.000 readers (AWA 2005) and is an unmissing reading material on German money market - places.
