Since they were tidy and clean, with no bad habits whatsoever (thanks to their religion and beliefs), it was not hard for them to find a job in America. They proved themselves to be hard working (even under extreme conditions) and got established in jobs relating to garment industry, petty trade, cigar manufacture, construction, and food production. They also got in to the movie industry, which was considered boring and lame; they were mostly screenwriters, but later in the 20th century they developed into producers and actors. Fun fact: 90% of the Jewish American ancestors were immigrants, who Americanized their last names because of the desire to fit in and, of course, anti-Semitism.
After all the accusations, executions, hatred and violence against the Jewish community has brought them closer together and even though history will never be erased, Jews have learned to live with it. Having their own country was a milestone and a place to hide and overcome all the horrendous things they had to go through.
