Extract

There seems to be very little antimatter in the universe.
Astronomy of the 21st century is there fore becoming the core science, the driving force behind many conventional sciences. The rapid research and exploration of space is also providing revolutionary techniques that are also employed in many other fields such as medicine, biology, chemistry etc. It can be concluded that Astronomy is useful in itself but the fact is that it is fast becoming an indispensable element of the society.
