Ray Bradbury chose this quote to represent the main idea of his novel ‘Fahrenheit 451’. The love of the human being and the hatred of everything, that prevents the human being from corresponding to its definition – this is the idea that the author tries to develop throughout the whole novel. He suggests that the things that were once designed to bring happiness to people can easily become the ones, that do them harm by making them soulless creations that have lost the ability to think.
