The topic of this report is „Eye Health.” This topic is important for optometric students, because it is connected with the eyes and its health.
Task of this repot is to collect information about eye health and to give short insight into eye health and situation with the eye health in the world, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Africa.
Goal of this report is to demonstrate collected statistic data and information in the presentation and introduce with these material colleague.Where and How I Got Information?
I found information for this presentation mainly on the internet. I could not found anything appropriate in the books, because there are needful statistic data which are changing very fast. I tried to get the more recent. I wanted to compare these statistic dates. Most difficult was to find statistics about Latvia and all worlds generally, because there were many statistics about United Kingdom and USA. Mainly these used statistic data comes from World Health Organization definition, but I need to mention that not only from this. To write this report firstly I read all these materials and found out what I need from this all and what I can use. From some I could use only little part of all.
