AIM: To discuss the relationship between Healthy Diet and Healthy Mouth
OBJECTIVES: 1) To identify main factors in the Diet that contribute to tooth decay and unhealthy mouth;
2) To recognise more appropriate snack and drink replacements for maintaining healthier diet and healthier mouth;
3) To recall main guidelines in Healthy Diet and Oral Hygiene
1)Today I would like to discuss the effects of the diet (more specifically- lunches) on your teeth, as well as basic aftercare, following your daily lunches.
- Healthy looking teeth, healthy gums and fresh breath are all essential to keep you feeling great and improve your image, which is very important in your job as you are working in a place with a large number of staff members as well as dealing with customers on one-to-one basis.
- Speaking about Healthy mouth, I would like to point out 4 main contents, which are:
• Teeth
• Gums
• Tongue
• Breath
All of these can be sustained in healthy form with good oral hygiene and a proper diet.
-Most common dental problems are:
• Gum disease and
• tooth decay
