The world-famous detective Sherlock Holmes is known for his unmatched ability to
solve complicated crimes using his deductive reasoning, observation, and logic skills as well
as methods of forensic science. Not only is Holmes one of the most notable literary characters
of our time, but he is also considered to be the instigator of forensic science as a method of
crime solving. In this essay, I will look into methods used by the detective and analyze an
example of Holmes utilizing his skills and knowledge.
