Some radicals are too violent and passionate about there beliefs, and eventually they do answer to their threats.
Dr Slepian, who performed these abortions, was killed by a sniper in October of 1998 while sitting in his home. Slepian had been receiving death threats from anti-abortion activists since the 1980s. N.Y. governor George Pataki labeled the murder an "act of terrorism" as the search for the killer began. The punishment that this man and his family had received is one that can never be justified. The use of such radical measures in attempting to end abortions proved to the pro choice movement that some beliefs are against the taking of life, unfortunately this group promoted the slaying of Slepian, regardless of the consequences. This rebellious act also formed the assumption that now it is okay to take an innocent life, this belief is contrary to what the overall ideas that Christianity promotes.
