Crime is an act punishable by law, yet it is also a large part of everyday life. It is one of the things that have always existed and it is not going anywhere. It is hard to imagine a day when a mugging does not occur or a car does not get stolen – people are so used to it, that they do not even think about how serious the situation really is. It would not be that horrible, if someone stole something once in a while, but nowadays it is far more complicated than that. Now crime has even become a sort of a business and it is called the organized crime. Then there are also the threats posed by abusive spouses and parents, murderers and serial killers and so on. It is obvious that crime has evolved immensely but has the law enforcement done the same?
I believe that the law is a form of a safety mechanism that humanity invented to protect people from themselves. Mind is the ultimate weapon and it can be very dangerous when misused. That is the reason why we need the protection provided by rules – without them, the world is bound to be consumed by anarchy. …
