Some people might not accept the theory of arranged marriages as the most reasonable form of companionship; however, others view this theory differently, accepting it and finding that it is an excellent means of preserving culture and social standard. "What is necessary, therefore, is not so much multiculturalism, as acculturation: the acceptance and adaptation by immigrants of the most important aspects of western culture" (Dalrymple.) Accordingly, it is possible for a complete different opinion to be formed; which is that of a neutral opinion being non compliant to the entire issue. Therefore, different circumstances exist in which applying either theory to the situation.
Marriage is a big decision taken in one's life whether it is a love marriage or an arranged marriage. The grounds on which marriage is based relies on a number if factors which include cultural, economic, and social aspects when talking about an arranged marriage. Love, on the other hand, is the only factor needed for a love marriage. Looking at the different issues that the two types of marriage are based on logically arranged marriage is more advantageous. Two people might base their marriage on hasty blinding love and find out that they aren't in the least bit compatible. As Mamoon states "Love, marriage and compatibility are not the same... Two people can be completely compatible yet have no love for each other and vice versa." Although love might be a beautiful basis for marriage it is not necessarily the best way to go when choosing who you want to live with and how you want to be provided for for the rest of your life.
