The most important museum in my town is Daugavpils Museum of Regional History and Arts, that is considered one of the oldest and largest museums in Latgale. The importance of the museum is that it collects, preserves, studies and popularizes the exhibits of cultural history, of Latvia's heritage, art and nature of the Daugavpils County, thereby facilitating the awareness of the region’s cultural heritage and its contemporaneity alike, promoting interest and understanding of historical processes in the Daugavpils County, and instilling respect for spiritual heritage and traditions. 7.What do you know about it/them?
8.Have you ever visited an art exhibition? What was it/why not? Yes, I often visit exhibitions, one the latest is Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre. Interestingly, that exhibitions are created in different artistic media - painting, photography, graphic, textile and ceramic art, etc., as well as historical and cultural expositions.
