The available medicine substitute for marijuana is proven to not be effective. Why
limit another alternative treatment to patients who need a controllable form? Why would
you want to suspend a form of treatment from somebody that could help them cope with
the effects of their disease? It's like suspending penicillin even though it can help cure
most infections that could turn fatal. What if crack-cocaine was found to cure cancer and
AIDS completely? Why would you suspend dispensing that to people, or loved ones who
are affected by the disease? Look at what codeine is! Codeine is a major pain reliever, but
is highly addictive coming from the opium poppy plant. It is controlled effectively through
doctors handing out prescriptions and has several fail safe controls to prevent misuse,
including smart whistle blowers within the medical practice. Doctors have to be logical
and ethical about their treatments. The death rate of their patients is their "grade" within
the practice. I don't think I would want to see a doctor with a "grade" of B. Would you?
