Charles Darwin, the man who came up the theory of evolution, was born in 1809 feb 12th. He grew up in a Christian home, and when he was old enough, he went to medical school but did not have the stomach for it. He went on to Cambridge University and received his B.A. in theology and classical literature. Soon after he went on a field trip to a geology dig, and in 1831 was offered a job on the merchant ship H.M.S. Beagle, by the United Kingdom to be a naturalist aboard their ship. He accepted.
