Hiroshima- was it necessary?
On August 9th, 1945, the President of the United States of America addressed the nation with some very important news. He stated, "The first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, a military base." It was the 6th of August, 1945, when the new breed of destruction, the Atomic bomb, had been dropped on the port city of Hiroshima in Japan, killing 70,000 people instantly. Since there have been many debates about whether it was necessary to drop the devastating blast in World War II. Although it is hard to predict what would have happened if it wasn't, it is almost certain that the casualties that would result in continuing battles would have been greater. Thus I strongly believe that the Atomic bomb was necessary.
