British culture

The cultural elements in each country are unique indeed, and Great Britain is not an exception. Latvians drink tea quite a lot, but probably not as much as Brits do – in fact, they are leaders in tea consumption. A Latvian citizen would just show some degree of dissatisfaction in case somebody disarranges the queue, but in Britain a special kind of hatred is guaranteed for such a conduct. Politeness is a prominent constituent of British culture because the British people just cannot get along with a “thank you”, “sorry”, and “please”. The language of kisses beats the ordinary handshake in most cases. Brits swim in the rays of the sun whenever it’s possible. Mummies’ Sunday Roast dish is something that is loved in a British family. At the moment fish and chips eaten at the seaside compete with Chinese food and curry. Giving up seats for elderly and disabled should be a completely normal practice not only in Britain, but in other countries as well.
