Cold Shock Response and Hyphal Growth Rate of Neurospora crass, exposed to Various Time Phase at 4oC

On the third day, we took out 9 frozen samples of Neurospora crassa that have been pretreated in liquid nitrogen and protein isolation buffer yesterday. We removed sample from tube and placed in a mortar. We grinded the sample very hard until there was no chucks on the sample. Then immediately 1.5 ml of sample was placed into an Eppendorf tube. After the tube was being boiled in the water bath for 5 minutes, it was placed in the microcentrifuge. The sample was centrifuged for 5 minutes at 14000 rpm. Lastly, we removed the supernatant in the tube and transferred it to a new-labeled 1 ml Eppendorf tube. The above steps were repeated for all 9 Neurospora crassa samples, and then they were stored in the freezer for the protein electrophoresis on next week.…
