It is understandable that many people have taken all of these factors and drawn the conclusion that an intangible, unobservable, complex, improvable, and truly unique quality to humans only, probably does not exist. Even with all the evidence and arguments on both sides I still have quite of few of questions. I grew up in a Christian household and from that I have always believe that we have free will and that there is a moral right and wrong. From what I have seen I am still unconvinced either way. The two assumptions of ethics seem only to be possible but not anymore concrete than that. From a purely philosophical standpoint I personally would like to believe in the existence of free will, and accordingly morality and ethics. I would have trouble waking up every day if my life were preprogrammed and predestined. I like to believe that the actions and decisions I make every day matter.…
