From the first view, we can take out that lifestyle of aesthetes is very convenient, useful and completely right, but in the end we can see that Dorian who tried to live like an aesthete without any morality and ugliness, did not manage to become happy and to get the real pleasure. He understood that his way of living and thinking was not correct, that he must do something good not only for external beauty, but for internal too, but it was already too late.
To conclude, I want to say that the novel of Oscar Wilde is both aesthetic and not so that everyone can find something useful for him and decide how to live. It is a choice of a person to live with morality or without it and nobody can influence on this choice. I believe that Oscar Wilde wanted to show three different destinies with three different views on aesthetic trend and it is readers’ responsibility to accept it or not.
