Rundale Palace

Rundale Palace, one of the most outstanding historical monuments in Latvia and indeed the significant baroque palace in the Baltic States. The Italian architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli built Rundale Palace for the Duke of Courland Ernst Johann Biron, who is historical known as the ruler of the destiny of the Russian Empire. Although Ernst Biron was a poor Courland country noblemen, but later he was appointed the Duke of Courland.
