The Government's Role in Navy

I have heard, that different governments in the world are renewing their Naval Forces, but Latvian government have only bought one patrol ship vessel. I think Latvian government should do the same, and restore the morally obsolete vessels.2
Well, as I mentioned before, governments should regulary restore the navy. According to home page of Latvia Ministry of Defence, they are now slowly trying to do that. The goal is to receive four more patrol ship vessels, already named Rēzekne, Cēsis, Jelgava and Viesīte.All these patrol ship vessels, including P05 Skrunda, will be used not only for military, but also for civil missions, like searching and rescuing people. They will not be used only for patroling and rescuing, but also with special equipment these patrol ship vessels will be able to detect and dispose mines and to do the oil spill relief. 3
I really hope that the purchase of these new vessel hips will not be the last these years. The more higher will be the funding from government, the more better will be the work of navy. The more better will be the work of navy, the more safely we all can feel.
