The Pros and Cons of Using Public Transport in Riga

It is worth acknowledging that the public transport in Riga is used by many people every day, yet a lot of them share a negative look on “Rīgas Satiksme”. My opinion is that public transport is good for the environment and that could make a change in the future.

Firstly, public transport is a good way of reducing the burning of fossil fuel. Fossil fuels such as petrol and diesel are non-renewable fuels which buses, minibuses use on an everyday basis. Therefore, to make sure that these fuels do not turn to dust, people need to save them as much as possible. Since public transport can carry a large number of passengers, it can reduce the overall fuel consumption.
