Maija Tabaka

Maija has received several awards, but in our opinion the most important one is the Three Star Order of 2000.
She has also illustrated children's books and published articles in newspapers and magazines.
Tabaka has had many very significant exhibitions. The very first was the 1963 exhibition in Riga dedicated to the 45th anniversary.
In 1976, a documentary film " Tales vai Stories. Maija Tabaka, ”directed by Hertz Frank. In 1983, also a book was published by Zigurds Constanta.

Education, creative works
Studied at the Latvian Academy of Art, graduated with a diploma work under the guidance of Eduards Kalnins.
Maija Tabaka herself says that her fate has been difficult and tough vai hard, but it belongs to her and she will not give it to anyone.
Lately, the artist has been painting only flowers. It's because she has always thought about what and how to paint.
