Minimal Salary in Different European Union Countries

The problem and topicality According to recently made research the main reason why people do not return to live in Latvia is a better economic well-being of the host country, the opportunity to earn more. (Latvian, 2011) It should be noted that higher wages are also one of the main reasons for people to emigrate – that why I have explore wages in Ireland, Britain and the Netherlands. To be able objectively assess the size of wage is important to find out what is the maximum salary in the European Union (Luxembourg) and minimum (Romania and Bulgaria). And I have analyzed the size of wage in countries where was huge crisis as in Latvia - Portugal, Spain and Greece. The Baltic countries were chosen because of similar historical development. The goal of paper is to find out salary-forming and influencing factors in the above countries.
