The first Thanksgiving was celebrated by the pilgrims and the indians in 1621 to celebrate a successful harvest in the new land;
Celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November (between November 22 and November 28)
In 1863, Abraham Lincoln proclaimed Thanksgiving as a national holiday;
