Introduction
A guest house is a private home which has been converted for the exclusive use of guest accommodation. The owner usually lives in an entirely separate area within the property and the guest house may serve as a form of lodging business, similar to a bed and breakfast.

Midway house
Built in 1897, this stylish, late Victorian Villa has been caringly modernized for comfort whilst maintaining many of its unique characteristics. Splendidly located in one of York’s finest suburbs, close to the Historic City Centre, which can be reached via a pleasant, illuminated riverside walk or alternatively by a frequent bus service. It has a private enclosed car park for up to 14 vehicles so all of our guests can park safely for the duration of their stay. The University, Barbican Centre, Fulford Barracks, and many of York’s splendid attractions are within easy reach of Midway House, including the expanding Designer Shopping Complex at Naburn, and York Racecourse which is accessible via the pedestrianised Millennium Bridge over the River Ouse.
