IB Mathematical Investigation - The Functions of a Ollie

Conclusion
Mathematics is everything. Even though myself, as a lazy student, I do not wish to agree to this statement. This process of exploration has once again proven to me that mathematics is a unremovable part of our life. Everything in this universe can be mathematically modelled, and doing so can grant valuable insights into the way that our universe works. By analysing the motion of the ollie during this research project, I have gained valuable information about the mathematics that take place during the performance of this trick. With this information I will be able to more accurately perform this trick in real life. And even though I know already that I may not think about the process of all the physics and mathematics that take place behind the scenes while i go about my everyday activities, the knowledge gained during this exploration will never be forgotten, as I would like to say truly for the first time I can say that I understood why all of the math we learn is useful and even more so how it can be applied to everyday life.
