Extract

Classical literature offers a rich source of knowledge, heritage, and ideas that have a profound impact on culture and consciousness. However, despite its importance, there are often barriers to fully understanding classical works. Over the past decades, manga has become an important tool to better understand classic literature, as it can be an effective tool to visualize, interpret, and expand the understanding of classic literary works.
Manga, by combining words and images, can turn old texts into lively and emotion-filled stories. Using manga adaptations, readers can see visualizations of characters, scenes, and events that can sometimes be difficult to represent through conventional reading.
Manga can also be used to expand understanding of classic works by providing context, explanations, and additional stories. Readers can gain in-depth knowledge of the history, culture, and philosophy that were important to the author when writing the original work.
On the basis of the goal the following research questions have been formulated:
1. Can manga be considered a book?
2. What is the difference between a manga and a book?
3. What is manga in literature?
4. Why do people read manga?
