The consultants wrote a report on each participant, summarizing their performance and the report was sent to the participant or to their Human Resources manager. The outcomes of the development were really positive, as the participants commented that the workshop was useful and enjoyable, as it gave them the opportunity to meet new people in similar roles, to reflect on their progress in the organization, to think about themselves for a change, and also how to reinforce certain aspects of their own behavior. The main purpose of the development centre was to motivate and encourage the participants.
From this example it can be seen that how important an assessment centre is for the employees to shortlist potential candidates, also it is helpful for the participants to know their performance and competencies.
This example also shows that HRM has another winner, in terms of Assessment Centers to contribute at strategic level Newell and Shackleton.
