Experts say the long-term future of cash could be at risk before the UK is ready to cope with the changes. Since 76% of people inquired in the survey said they expected to use less cash and switch to other forms of payment in the forthcoming months, it can be foreseen that casting cash aside will most presumably become a “sticky habit” in the future.
To conclude, even though the decline of cash use has both positive consequences, such as reduced gas emissions, and negative ones like job losses, the future of our relationship with cash is unforeseen, for now.
