Disadvantages
• Specific facilities required - This is portrayed as a disadvantage as a non-slip surface is required when sprinting to prevent injuries from slipping over. These facilities are not always easy to access because a fee is required, meaning that not everyone can afford it therefore they cannot access the facilities and practice the test.
• Assistant required to administer the test - The test requires assistance which can be seen as a disadvantage as it is time consuming. Assistance is required to ensure that athletes are safe and are carrying out the test properly. Also the assistants must be qualifies in first aid in order to know how to deal with certain situations if something goes wrong. This again might be seen as disadvantage because certain individuals may find it difficult to afford a first aid course leaving them at a much more disadvantage as they may not be able to carry out the test if they do not have assistance.

Advantages
• Simple to set up and conduct - The test is straight forward and is relatively easy for the assessors to set up and conduct, it is not complicated. This is an advantage as no time is wasted setting up the test and no confusion is caused when conducting the test because, again, it is straight forward.
• Can be practiced almost anywhere – This test is suitable and practical in any given situation. No specific facilities are required and the equipment needed can be easily transported, allowing the test to be carried out almost anywhere. This is an advantage to people who cannot always get to certain areas, allowing them to still carry out the task, with environmental factors not having a negative effect on them or the test.

Assistance is required to ensure that athletes are safe and are carrying out the test properly. This again might be seen as disadvantage because certain individuals may find it difficult to afford a first aid course leaving them at a much more disadvantage as they may not be able to carry out the test if they do not have assistance.
• Specialist equipment required - The test will not be able to be carried out correctly and accurately if specialist equipment is not available, leaving certain individuals at a disadvantage who may not be able to access this equipment. This could be due to expenses or facilities.
