Maoisms ir komunisma paveids, kas balstīts uz Ķīnas komunistiskā vadītāja Mao Dzeduna idejām un mācību. Tajā marksisms pielāgots Ķīnas apstākļiem un sociālisma celšanā daudz lielāka vieta ierādīta lauksaimniecībai un zemniecībai, tādējādi faktiski apejot kapitālistisko (imperiālistisko) stadiju, kuru par obligāto uzskatīja Markss.
Maoisms oficiāli aizsākās 1949. gadā, kad komunisti ar Mao Dzedunu priekšgalā uzvarēja pilsoņu karu pār nekomunistiem (Čans Kaiši).
Cēloņi ir zaudējumus nesošais pilsoņu karš, Ķīnas vēsturiskais, kultūras un ģeogrāfiskais fons.…
