Gatsby used Nick (who is also Daisy's cousin), just so he could get closer to Daisy. He asked Nick to bring her to drink tea. Gatsby got what he wanted, and Daisy came to the West Egg just to meet her cousin, but eventually she saw her first love Jay Gatsby. It was very awkward, and, in the book, it was well described: “For half a minute there wasn't a sound. Then from the living-room I heard a sort of choking murmur and part of a laugh, followed by Daisy's voice on a clear artificial note: "I certainly am awfully glad to see you again.” After the tea drinking Gatsby invited Daisy to his house and I could feel the chemistry between them. They were laughing and having so much fun like in the on old days. In that moment I wanted them to run away and start all over again and that’s exactly what Gatsby said: “I want to run away with you”. Later in the story, Gatsby pressures Daisy into choosing between him and her husband Tom. A huge fight between the men erupted because Daisy was too stressed and pressured to say anything and that lead to Gatsby saying: "Your wife doesn't love you! ". In my opinion what Gatsby did wasn't okay at all, as he can't just answer for Daisy, and he can't dictate how Daisy feels. He was being extremely selfish in that moment. …
