My hypothesis that the solutions containing 1% clove would have slower rates than those without an introduced inhibitor, is supported by my results.
By studying Figure 3, it can be said the rate of fermentation for Glucose + Clove is slower than that of Glucose only. It can also be stated that the total CO2 evolved in the inhibited solutions is less than that of the uninhibited solutions.
The average rate of fermentation after ten minutes for Glucose only is 0.455mL/ min compared to 0.362mL/min for Glucose + Clove.
